Songwriters’ Circle – The Record Crate – May 16

This group of songwriters, Gemma Turner, Peter Miller-Robinson, Christina Mimmocchi and Tony Eardley, forgoes award ceremonies, invitations to the palace, celebrity lunches and washing their hair to meet almost regularly. Well occasionally really, to share their songwriting process and to discuss each other’s work in progress.

Between them they have written for festival choirs, convened and conducted festival and community choirs, produced well received solo albums, collaborated on other albums, written songs for television (although they generally choose not to watch too much), conducted workshops in exotic locations and just down the road, played a biker wedding without knowing any AC/DC and lived to tell the tale, won various songwriting awards and played to audiences in countries where even Google Maps is afraid to go.

Passion is a much abused word these days, but the members of this group have it in quiet spades when it comes to writing and performing.

34 Glebe Point Road, Glebe, Sydney, Australia

Date/Time: May 16, 2015/ at 2:00pm/
